Jordan & Denise~Salt Lake Temple & Backyard Wedding Reception~Featured Wedding

Jordan & Denise have such a cute love story.  They were married on August 9th, 2010~ (8.9.10-should be easy enough for Jordan to remember) They were married in the beautiful Salt Lake Temple and they had a spectacular reception in Denise’s parents backyard.  This adorable couple loves the outdoors, they love hiking, biking, snuggling & watching good movies.

How they met~ “We met through a mutual friend at a Halloween party at my house. I was a vampire and he was a secret service agent. After the Halloween party we spent every night together. I worked at “Nightmare on 13^th Haunted House” every night till Oct. 31^st.  For the first little while we dated he had no idea what I really looked like. He knew me as: a zombie, a witch, exorcist girl, clown and many more scary things!”

The Engagement~ “I was leaving to go to Florida to have a Sunny warm Christmas with my family. Jordan said to me, “lets go get your Christmas present!” We went to fashion place mall and he took me to Build A Bear! I had always told him how cool it would’ve been to have this store when I was little. So, we looked through their animals to stuff (I picked a moose because it was Christmas time). We stuffed her with love and fluff, gave her a bath and picked out a little Christmas dress for her. We named her Holly! Once we finished our Build a Bear we headed toward the car. On our way out we passed Santa with the kids. He looked at me and said “Lets get a picture with Santa” I just laughed and said “We build a bear and now we are getting a picture with Santa… AWESOME!” So, we are standing in line with all the little kids and their moms. FINALLY it was our turn. Santa looks at me and asked me what I would like. I told him “I hadn’t thought about it.” He asked me if I like surprises. I replied “I LOVE surprises.” He replied “I will give you lots of surprises then.” He looked at Jordan and asked him what he would like for Christmas? Jordan told Santa he wasn’t sure either. Then Jordan said… ” Well, there is ONE thing!” He then got down on his knee and proposed! I of course started crying my eyes out! It was awesome! Song~ “Our first real date was to see “High School Musical 3.” I’m am a Disney fan, so Jordan was a gentleman and sat through the movie for me. We know the songs to that movie very well. We sing them to each other in the car quite often and we joke about them being ‘our songs’.”

After the Wedding~ “Our plans are finish up school. I’m getting my degree in elementary education and Jordan is getting his in business. We can’t wait to start this new chapter in our lives together!”

What Denise likes most about Jordan~ “oh man! There are too many things! Just so we’re not here all day I’ll say a few… I love that he can make anyone laugh! There isn’t a minute that goes by that I am not laughing! He is also the most caring person I have ever met! Family is very important to him and I love that! He is also 100% gentleman! He opens the door for me every time we get in a car! Even if he has his arm full of stuff! I also love that he loves twilight way more than me…. He is team Edward.”

What Jordan likes most about Denise~ “The way she lights up a room with her smile. The way she kisses me good night and tells me that she loves me. And also, how she is always aware of what I need.  And most of all she loves me for who I am, which to me being yourself is key. That’s how you know someone really does love you. Plus she is HOT!”

Photography~ “Our photography was done by Swensen Photography I would recommend them to anyone! They have been so great! Justin is our photographer, he definitely loves what he does and it’s amazing what he can do with that camera! We were surprised at how quickly we were able to see our pictures! All of our pictures are amazing!”

Flowers~ “La Bella Fleur Designs,  Frieda and Carmen have been so amazing! They want to make this day special for us. They are fun and have that sparkle in their flowers that I am looking for. They know exactly what I have pictured in my mind… using my colors, smells and flowers I chose with them, along with a fun flare, different, simple, and a bit of magic!”

Cake~ “Granite Bakery made our cake for us.  We made an appointment, they were very attentive to what I wanted and had many samples and pictures of wedding cakes to look at.  We were also able to taste the various flavors of cake and icing that they have to choose from. DELICIOUS! They deliver for a minimal fee and will let us use one of their cake stands – FREE as long as we return it. I am so excited to see how our cake turns out!”

The Wedding Dress~ “First of all I would like to thank my mom for taking the time in helping me choose my dress… THANK YOU MOM! Well, my first dress I got right after I was engaged… as the days passed and my wedding was getting closer… I did not love my dress as much as I thought I did and I think the Bride should love her dress… so we went looking once again and found my most beautiful garden wedding dress at Fantasy Bridal.  It was actually the first one I tried on! I’m pretty bad at making decisions so… of course I had to try on every dress in the store, go home, dream about it, and bring my friend Joey  with me the next day to help me make a decision. We all agreed that it was the one! I love my dress!! Everyone at Fantasy bridal was fantastic! I highly recommend them!”

Advice from the Bride~ “Enjoy the planning! It’s only going to happen once! Don’t get stressed out, because in the end everything is going to come together and fall into place! But, if you are feeling some stress… this is where the fiancé steps in and offers to give you a foot massage… works every time!”
