Honeymoon in Paradise at The El Dorado Royale Part 1
Right outside the lobby of the El Dorado Royale
This is the first of a four part blog about the El Dorado Royale in the Mayan Riviera
My husband & I have heard so many amazing things about the El Dorado Royale resort that we knew we had to check it out for ourselves. We just got home last week & can’t wait to go back. It was the perfect get away for any couple to share. Whether you are up for adventure, relaxation or simply there for romance the El Dorado Royale is the ultimate paradise.
We contacted Corina at All Points Travel to schedule are second honeymoon. She searched until she found the best price for our flight to Mexico & since All Points Travel is the only preferred travel agent in Utah for the El Dorado Royale she was able to hook us up. She has the insider scoop & she gave us lots of tips for once we got there. You can see those tips on a previous post here.
Inside the lobby at the El Dorado Royale
Our driver took us up a private lane right to the front doors of the beautiful El Dorado Royale. We were immediately welcomed & our bags retrieved. As we walk inside the lobby the first thing we notices was the gorgeous fountain in the center of the large reception area & a stunning chandelier hanging above it. Everything was elegant & pristine. After check in the bell boy gave us a brief tour of the resort & escorted us to our room.
The beautiful fountain outside the main lobby
Being famished after a long day of travel we went to eat at one of the restaurants having our first of many pina-colada’s & chips & guacamole, which is simply put, YUM!! I will be telling you more about the food in a later entry.
Remember this resort is all inclusive so you can eat whenever & as much as you want. The restaurants closed at 10:00 pm, but they have 24 hour room service for all you late night munchers.
One of my favorite drinks “virgin” Pina colada
Waking up to the tropical birds the next morning was just surreal. We slept so perfectly in their oh so comfortable bed. The first thing I wanted to do was look outside & see our surroundings. Because it was dark when we arrived we weren’t fully able to appreciate the beauty we found ourselves in. The resort was so immaculate. Nothing out of place & if it was there was always someone there to clean it up. Every detail is taken care of, from the stamped sand in the ash treys to cleaning the pools, nothing was forgotten.
Our morning view from our deck
The service at the El Dorado Royale was incredible. Every employee said “Hola” as we walked by & we were offered rides in the golf cart every chance they could. We often would forgo the golf cart & enjoy the romantic walks instead. For every room they have 1.5 employees to ensure everyone’s needs are met. Our personal concierge, Oliver, was awesome. He helped us get the best experience possible by giving us tips & helping us set up our candle light dinner on the beach & our couples massage too.
I can’t say enough good things about the perfect place for paradise. The El Dorado Royale knows how to make their guests have an amazing time & the amenities are simply gorgeous. Be sure to check back as we will be sharing more about the El Dorado Royale’s food, activities that are offered & about the romance & luxury of this amazing all inclusive resort in the Mayan Riviera. We can’t wait to go back!!
One lucky couple that attends the upcoming Bridal Extravaganza at La Caille on July 16th will win a honeymoon package to the El Dorado Royale courtesy of All Points Travel. To register for the upcoming bridal show click HERE!
