Spring Wedding Advice

We’ve all heard how important “location, location, location” is, but if

you are planning a spring wedding you also need to consider “lighting,

lighting, lighting.”

If you live in Utah and are getting married between April – June there is
a good chance that many of your engagement, bridal or wedding pictures
will be captured before everything outdoors is in full bloom.  With that
in mind, here are a few ways to still get beautiful pictures:

1. Location - Choose a place with lots of color and fun textures.  When
the grass is still brown, consider going into the city for great pictures
on sidewalks, benches and restaurants.  Ask your photographer for ideas -
we always love coming up with something new that no one has tried before.

2. Lighting – Lighting is the most important part of photography.  The
perfect light can take a dismal background and make it fantastic.  The
best lighting conditions change every month, so be prepared to be flexible
for the best possible pictures.

3. Clothing - Bring several outfits rather than focusing on your one
favorite.  For spring pictures you will need lots of color.  Ladies,
please raid your fiance’s closet for him and pick his clothing:)  I
promise he’ll thank you for it and your pictures will look much better.

4. Roll with it - Be prepared for wind, a little rain, and maybe even snow
- this is Utah, after all.  Don’t let a few drops ruin your pictures,
instead have fun with it by bringing umbrellas and colorful boots.
