Impress your guests the moment they enter your reception with a totally unique wedding guest book. There are so many types of guest books now available that are modern, fun and creative in a way that traditional guest books aren’t.
Handmade guest books
Handmade wedding guest books are rising in popularity and increasing in creativity. Do this yourself by grabbing a scrapbook album or empty spiral-bound craft book. Decorate the front with a picture of the couple and their names (and date). Add embellishments, like ribbon, craft flowers or stamps (be as creative as you want!). For the pages you can go all out with scrapbooked pages or you can simply adhere photos of the bride and groom on each page, leaving enough space for guests to sign.
Etched platters and frames

This is an elegant alternative to a book. Silver frames and platters are available in many different stores, even online.
Try www.beau-coup.com for frames and platters; porcelain makes an sophisticated canvas for signatures.
Guest designed and signed pages
Here is a really fun idea! Mail your guests a page from your guest book a head of time. They can do whatever they want with the page: customize it, add pictures, have their kids draw the bride and groom a picture-you name it! The guest brings the page to the wedding and places it in the book. The bride and groom will have one spectacular guest book that contains more than just signatures.
Puzzle “book”
Even though this isn’t a book, I really like this idea. Take a great photo of the bride and groom, bring it to a photography lab and have them enlarge it then cut it into a puzzle. Guests can each spend some time putting this puzzle together throughout the festivities… for a twist, have the guests sign their names on the backs of the puzzle pieces. When the bride and groom put the puzzle together, one side will be a collage of names.
Polaroid guest book

This guest book can be a lot of fun! Have an attendant stand by the guest book with a Polaroid camera. As guests enter, snap their photo and insert in into the book. They can sign their names right on their pictures. This way, you can remember who was at your wedding, even if you only remember their face.
“Work of art” guest book
This is also not really a book. Find a large blank canvas and set it up on an easel. Have guests sign their names in paint, either in your wedding colors or any colors. When your artwork dries, you can frame it and hang it in your home for a colorful reminder of your wedding guests.
There are so many more ideas, have fun exploring all of the possibilities!
