A Wedding to remember…Make your wedding fun!!!
You will remember your wedding day for years to come & you want it to be a GREAT memory. So when you are planning your wedding put in special touches that mean something to both of you- the Bride & the Groom. Remember it is a special day for both of you even though it is typically the Bride who has wedding fantasies. But let’s face it girls- the guys want in on all the fun even if they don’t let you know it.
The fondest memory I have of my wedding was my luncheon. We had our closest family & friends with us to celebrate and we wanted to make it fun. My husband had a close friend who does Elvis impersonating. He came out & made all of us really have a great time. He was incredible. We also had a couple close friends sing and let everyone go around and introduce themselves and share something special about us. It was definitely a day to remember.
Make your day a day to remember by adding something special. Here are a few fun ideas:
- Have a Grooms cake- this is a great way to get your Groom involved & better yet he can eat it. Who wouldn’t like that? (My Sister in-law had a guitar cake made for her husband- what a FANTASTIC idea)
- Use a favorite color to accent your dress, sashes around the waist are quite popular & you can add matching shoes for fun too- this is a great, fun flirty way to make you different from other brides.
- You can choose your favorite song to dance down the isle, for go the traditional wedding march and pick something fun, it may not be traditional but it will make it memorable.
- If you plan on having kids at the wedding try to keep them involved in some way. We had a kids table that had color books & crayons with some fun pictures for them to color.
- Candy tables are always fun to have. Make sure to have cellophane bags and ribbons to tie them with so they can take treats home with them. A special thank you note makes a great touch to the candy tables as well.
The sky is the limit when it comes to planning a wedding so think about who you are and what you enjoy doing and incorporate that into your special day.
