Bridal Videos

Have you wondered if you should do a bridal video before the wedding? Bridal spotlights are becoming more and more popular in Utah wedding videography.

What is a Bridal Video?

A bridal video is a sequence where the bride is the main focus. This segment is devoted to the bride in her dress, before the wedding. The videographer captures the essence of the bride’s beauty and personality in a very elegant and cinematic way. This spotlight is all about the bride and it’s truly Giant Brothers Wedding Films’ favorite production they do.

All about you

By doing a bridal video before the wedding, the videographer is able to focus completely on the bride or the couple, “without the hustle and bustle of the normal wedding day,” says Matt from Happily Ever After Video.

Bring the Groom

Another idea is to bring your groom. Happily Ever After Video says, “Bringing your groom is a great extension of the wedding day at a different location.” This is the perfect time for the groom to show off as well. The bridal video will show the couple enjoying each other and having fun together. Giant Brothers states, “I’m sure the bride will agree with me that the groom is just as important as she is!”

Same-day edit not possible?  No problemo!

Another great reason to do a bridal video is there are times when a same-day edit of the wedding day film is not possible.  By filming the bridal video prior to the wedding, the videographer has an opportunity to put something together before the wedding.  This is a great opportunity to showcase your beautiful dress and help set the tone for the reception.

When should I film my Bridal Video?

Giant Brothers Wedding Films suggests that you do your bridal video at the same time as your bridal photo shoot. Make sure you allow enough time so the videographer can create and capture their creative, moving video-specific shots, and also so the photographer has the time they need to setup their shots.

Videographer Tips

It is important to choose a location that best fits your personality so they can showcase the bride or the couple in a way that you will shine.

Happily Ever After Video suggests that you bring your bouquet! Color enhances any picture and can also help tie in the colors of your wedding to your pre-wedding Bridal shoot.
