Do Everything or Do Nothing ~ Paradise Awaits at The El Dorado Royale

Lounging By The Ocean At The El Dorado Royale

This is the third entry of a four part series blog about The El Dorado Royale.  We recently had the pleasure of staying at this magnificent resort and wanted to share our experiences with you. To see the first entry click here.  For the second entry click here.  Special thanks to our travel agent All Points Travel for helping with all arrangements & details making our trip AMAZING!!

When you first step foot at The El Dorado Royale not only will you see luxury like you wouldn’t believe but you will also see so many things to do right at the resort that you could stay there your entire vacation and feel like you did a ton.

Obviously when going to Cancun and The Mayan Riviera you want to get out and explore all the wonderful sites such as, Chitiniza, Xel Ha, Tulum, Xcaret and so much more.  There is the shopping at the local flea markets where bartering isn’t just an option it is expected and the night life with the great restaurants, clubs and bars can make for one fun filled vacation.  The great thing about staying at the El Dorado Royale is that they have onsite tour promoters to help you schedule the activities in which you want to participate.

However this amazing resort offers so much to do that you could literally never step foot off the resort and have a wonderful time.

Every evening a movie a movie plays in the outside pavilion followed by some kind of activity.  The nights that we were there we saw a karaoke contest, a stand up comedian, and a couple of live bands.

During the day times there were so many activities to choose from that you would literally need to stay a couple of weeks to to do everyone of them at least once.  Early in the morning there were yoga classes as well as water aerobic classes.  You could sign up to take a kayak tour of the area or you could explore it by land on a mountain bike tour.  On the mountain bike tour you stop off at different areas and learn about this amazing resort.  You stop by Alice the local alligators pond to check her out in her habitat.  You also explore the nearby forest where they have an amazing swimming hole as well as a cave that was turned into a bar (after the hurricane a few years ago the bar was destroyed).  You also have the opportunity to tour the resorts own greenhouse.  The El Dorado Royale grows most of its own herbs and vegetables.  The technology is amazing and it is pretty interesting to see vegetables growing out of coconut husks.  In order to provide enough husk to grow these vegetables every Saturday night at the resort is coconut night where all your drinks are served in coconut.  They then take those husks and grind them up creating a nutrient rich base to grow these incredibly tasting vegetables.

Throughout the day there were salsa classes, beach volleyball games, and snorkeling all you wanted by the resorts man made coral reefs that are just starting to take formation. You could also take out your own kayake and explore the resort yourself or just take out a mountain bike for the day and enjoy the ride.

The El Dorado Royale has so many different swimming pools, some with swim up bars and other with water volleyball nets.  Each pool has its own unique feature and design and many of them are connected to the lazy river that encircles the resort.  In some cases you can literally walk out onto your patio and take a plunge or even just float your way to one of the pools.  One of the pools at the resort is a man made salt water pool.

All of those activities are free of charge as well.

For a fee you can also rent wave runners and cruise around the resort or go para sailing out on the ocean underneath a big smiley face para sail.

You can also go to their amazing spa where you can have any spa treatment imaginable and your choice of massage in a nice clean room or out on a palm covered balcony overlooking the fabulous Caribbean Ocean.  Your onsite personal concierge can help you schedule any of the activities you wish to participate in while at the resort and they are there to help make sure your stay is an amazing one.

While there are so many activities to do at the resort one of the favorites of the attending guests seems to be just relaxing.  The resort, both by the pools and the ocean, is lined with covered beach beds and enough beach chairs to accommodate thousands of guests.   As you stroll along the beach or along the walkways you will see people lounging around resting and relaxing (after all I know we could all use a little R & R).

Whether you are going for adventure or to just relax The El Dorado Royale has so many things available on hand that you can ensure you will have a fantastic time even if you never step foot off the resort property.

The El Dorado Royale is one of the proud sponsors of The Summer Bridal Extravaganza Saturday July 16th, at LaCaille.  One lucky couple will win the wedding of her dreams valued at $100,000, including a dream honeymoon to The All Inclusive Gourmet El Dorado Royale in the Mayan Riviera.
