Salt Lake Temple Wedding

Mike Jeffery & Karli Robinson
September 8, 2007

Mike and Carli had a bright, fun wedding.  The wedding ceremony was held at the Salt Lake Temple and the reception was in the bride’s parents back yard.

Karli, I love you! Marry Me!

Mike proposed to Karli during a festive time of year - on the fourth of July.  Mike was driving his truck during the 4th of July parade in Delta, Utah.  When Mike got to Karli on the parade route, he stopped his truck and let down a banner stating - “Karli, I love you! Marry Me!”

That Was Fast

With just over 2 months before the wedding, Karli and her mom got busy planning the wedding details.  Karli and her mom found the perfect wedding dress at Alysse’s Bridal at the University Mall in Provo.  She decided to have the sleeves modified slightly and added a brown sash.

The Wedding Day

Mike & Karli were married in the late morning at the Salt Lake Temple.  The reception has held in Karli’s parents backyard in Orem.  With 400 guests invited to the wedding reception festivities, they chose to have a receiving line for the first part of the reception and dance at the end.  To help keep the party going, Mike and Karli hired a DJ keep the energy alive.  The song they chose for their first dance was “Lost in the Moment” by Big and Rich.

The wedding reception was all about the bride and groom’s personalities - the colors, the food, the decorations.  What influenced the selction of their wedding details?  Karli responds, “Things I like.  I just wanted it to be a celebration … fun, food, friends and family.”  The bride said she is not a huge fan of receptions, so she wanted hers to be full of color, casual but classy, and most of all… FUN!

Advice for Other Bride-To-Be’s

Karli says - “Always go with what YOU want because then you will be happy.  Even if people think you are crazy for wanting certain things… like pink, orange and brown wedding colors.  In the end it was perfect and so beautiful!!!”
