For those of your who attended the La Caille bridal show, you know just how much fun it was! With the many activities, great fashion shows and exquisite scenery, this was the bridal show to attend.

The Fashion Shows

Wedding Dresses

Mary’s Bridal, Cassablanca Gown Co, and Alta Moda displayed the latest in bridal fashions. There were so many beautiful dresses to view.   A few trends include ruffles, rouching, ornate detailing, corset-style bodices (below), lace overlays, beaded embellishments and added color (right). Sashes also added color to wedding dresses.

Bridesmaid Dresses

Bridesmaid dress trends included bright colors, like fuchia and metallic colors. Nothing was very fussy, and dresses tended to be cocktail length and some long, such as a half-mermaid style.

The Vendors

There were so many vendors; finding everything you needed for your wedding was totally possible, all in one location. Everywhere you looked, you could find inspiration for your wedding, as well as the perfect person to make that happen.

It was a great opportunity to stop and chat with vendors.Finding what you needed was so easy. There were several photographers, caterers (who were giving out tasty food!), entertainment (a string quartet), everything you need.

A few of the vendors I sampled and spoke with were:

Dolcetti Gelato, a company who makes authentic Italian gelato, fresh. They offer more than gelato: Italian sodas, pizelles, dairy-free sorbettos and even custom gelato. After sampling some lavendar gelato (it was amazing!), I can see why brides would want Dolcetti Gelato to be at their wedding. Dolcetti Gelato is located in Sugahouse at 1751 S. 1100 E.

Carrie’s Cakes made this fabulous “Topsy Turvey Crooked Cake.” Carrie’s cakes are as delicious as they are beautiful, and Carrie’s Cakes also offers classes! Visit Carrie’s Cakes online or in Sandy at 1454 E. Ridgemark Dr. (9780 S.).

White Smile USA was there and whitening teeth. They had their chairs set up and since the whitening process takes as little as 15 minutes, many brides were able to have it done right there. Checkout White Smile USA and see how white your teeth can be.

Cake Hair Salon, tucked away in the bride’s room at La Caille, were a fun group to meet. Cake is a downtown salon with a lot of style! Brides will want to see Tristann or Rachel, two cute and fashionable women who will give you the perfect bridal look. These gals will even go on location; you can get your hair, and your entire bridal party’s hair, done without heading to the salon. Check them out at 208 E 500 S, right in downtown Salt Lake. (They are close to Trax, Grand America and the 23rd Floor.)

These are just a few of the great vendors to be found at the La Caille Bridal Show.

The Giveaway

One of the most anticipated events was the $100,000 Dream Wedding Giveaway.  Brides-to-be packed around the beautiful La Caille gardens to hear the announcement of the grand prize.  Lucky bride-to-be Randi was the exstatic winner of the dream wedding.

Randi and her soon-to-be groom John have yet to set their date.  You can follow their wedding planning and see how Randi’s dream wedding comes together on TheBrideandGroom.com blog.
