Spring Weddings~Great Tips & Ideas for Spring Weddings~Utah Weddings

I love spring weddings.  Fresh, clean & new is what i think of when I think Spring.  Spring weddings are so beautiful, especially in Utah.   The tulips  are just starting to bloom and the trees start to have their blossoms as well. I love the fresh crisp air in the spring.  And of course the rain.  I love the rain.  “April showers bring May flowers, ” is the old saying.  The weather in Spring is quite unpredictable.  But there are always ways around it when planning your wedding.

Backyard weddings in the Spring~ So you want a spring time wedding,  FANTASTIC! Be sure to plan accordingly.  Often times especially if you have a March or April Spring wedding you can expect rain and sometimes even snow.  Today is a rainy day & it is May so you just never know.  When choosing your date you KSL has created a great wedding weather planner, check it out at ksl.com. It is really easy to use, just put in the date you are hoping to have for your wedding & it will give you the averages for that date from the past 30 years.  This way you have a better idea of what you can possibly expect.   Obviously, you can’t count on your day to be perfect weather so make sure you have in case of inclement weather on your invite with an indoor location.

Spring Wedding Favors~There are so many fun things you can do for spring weddings.  I went to my cousins wedding a few years back & she had the wedding luncheon in her parents gorgeous backyard.  They had the cutest little note tied to a small (4 inch’s long) hovel, or other garden tools and a packet of seeds.   I can’t remember what the note said but you could use something like this “We are starting our marriage today just like this package of seeds we will need to nourish our love for each other.  Our love will continue to grow as we hope to have children in our future one day. Thank you for sharing our special day with us. ” Or you could simply say ” Our love will continue to GROW! Thanks for celebrating with us.”  I found a great website to purchase wedding favors check it out at www.favorideas.com they are have some really cute favors, especially for Spring weddings.

Spring Colors~ I love the bright colorful weddings.  You don’t have to use spring colors when having a spring wedding but you can.  Here a few suggestions for spring color pallets.

Pastel~ I love the subtleness of pastels. Any pastel color goes for a spring wedding.  You can choose just one color such as a pastel green or blue or combine multiple colors together.  There are so many choices and combination’s to make. I like the combination of pink, purple & yellow, this is one of my favorites. This pastel green & purple are absolutely gorgeous as well with the cream on top- Love it!!

Bright~Bright colors that stand out are always great too- Bright Green & a touch of Eggplant Purple make for a gorgeous color scheme also.  Bright Green is becoming one of my favorites and there are so many colors to accent with the bright green, you can just do a simple bright green & black which makes for a great rich color scheme as well.

There are so many options when it comes to color.  Keep in mind what colors you like & what you want at your wedding.   Any color goes it is really up to you.
