Derek & Summer’s Love Story ~Featured Wedding at Pierpont Place

Summer Jackson & Derek Mears were married on 5-24-2010 at Pierpont Place.  Their day was so memorable.  The best part of their wedding was the words of their minister.  He seemed to say just the right things & it was the perfect start to their union as man & wife.  Summer & Derek had lots of great friends & family to share their special day.  They especially loved the toasts from their friends, the delicious food, beautiful decorations & of course the PARTY after wards.  Special thanks to Tiny Comet Photography for sharing their gorgeous images with us.

Photographer~ “Our photographer was amazing!  Raji Barbir with Tiny Comet Photography.  He really captured the special moments along with all the small details that made the day special.  We love his stylized photography of our rings and flowers.  We would tell our friends that we loved everything about him and his work.  We now consider him a friend.”

Flowers~ “ Pierpont Place, they captured our vision perfectly!  They made arrangements that were original and very modern.”

Hair & Make up~ “My amazing hairdresser Kristen Frei (801-635-7977) did an amazing up do on me. She also did all of my bridesmaid’s, my mom’s, my mother in law’s and our flower girl’s hair.  Stacey Betts (staceymbetts@yahoo.com) did my make-up.   It was perfect!  I suggest a trial before and I didn’t want to do bridals, but they were a great practice.”

Wedding Cake~ “Schmidt’s Pastry Cottage, I have never tasted anything better in my life.  The cake was beautiful, unique, and fun.  They also provided the pastries for our dessert bar. We received so many compliments.”

Catering~” Cosmopolitan Catering provided our food.  We had Italian finger food complete with mini Panini’s, pasta salad, meatballs, marinated vegetables, cheese, and crackers.”

Advice from the Bride~ “What advice would you give to other Brides when planning their wedding:  Take your time, try and enjoy the process, and don’t try to fix anything yourself the day of the wedding! (that is what family and friends are for!!)”
