Five Tips to Guarantee that Your Wedding is Unforgettable

After the I Do’s are said, the food is eaten and the guests are gone, the only thing you’ll have left of this day are the memories. And the best way to preserve those memories is by choosing the right people to photograph and film your wedding. Here are a few tips to make sure your wedding day is a day you will never forget!
Do Your Homework
Your first meeting with a wedding photographer or videographer will go a lot smoother if you’ve done a little research beforehand.
Spend some time on the internet or talking to friends who’ve recently been married. Find out what style you want for your wedding and look for professionals that shoot in that style. Get an idea of what you like and don’t like. Wedding websites and chat rooms can be a great place to start.
Make Sure You Choose an Experienced Professional
And, experienced does not necessarily mean expensive. Just do your homework and I know you can find a great professional within your price range. During this hard economical time, it’s easy to understand the importance of a budget, but I cannot emphasize how important it is to choose someone that has had years of experience to capture your wedding. There are no “do over’s” on the wedding day and if you decide to go with “uncle bob” or your best friend just to save money, you might miss out on some very important moments. Having the right equipment is one thing. Having the right experience is quite another!
Set Aside Time for Photos and Filming
On the wedding day everything moves so fast and conditions are not always the best for excellent photos and film. Take some time before the wedding day or set aside a good amount of time at the wedding just for photos. Don’t let anyone rush through this time. Make it a priority and you will be reward with excellent pictures and video for years to come.
Say Yes to a Wedding Video
Wedding Videos have a way of bringing back the true emotions and feelings of your wedding day in a way that a photo just can’t. In a recent study of newlyweds, the question was asked, “What is your biggest regret about your wedding?” The leading answer was that they didn’t have it captured on video. Not only is a video a great way for you to relive your special day, it is also a way to share it with your children and to show them how their family started. There are videographers out there for every budget from as little as $200 to as high as $5000. Just check it out before your decide it’s not something you can afford.

Relax and Be Yourself
Make sure your unique personality and love show through your photos and film by trying to relax and have fun! This is probably the only time that you can feel like a celebrity and have everyone so interested in making you look good. Embrace it and enjoy this opportunity. Also, make sure you choose a professional that makes you feel comfortable and doesn’t direct you too much. This is your wedding and you want your pictures and video display this.
