Six Popular Custom New-Vintage Wedding Gowns

Since the Vintage look is so in we wanted to get some information from one of our incredible vendors, Modest Couture by Elizabeth.  They sent us pictures of their six most popular dresses & a description of them to go with it.  These gorgeous dresses are so fun, flirty and sophisticated.  Come check out their great selection, you don’t want to miss out on all they have to offer.

1.  Sophia

This updated retro gown exudes the sophisticated glamour of Sophia Loren.  Delicate English Net is gently rusched over Shantung silk at the bustline.  Lace embellished sleeves, large pearl buttons, hidden pockets and a handmade bustle back bow of Ostrich feathers, pearls and crystals create drama and dimension.

2.  Audrey

The classic looks of Audrey Hepburn inspired this timeless gown.  A boat-neck, ¾ length sleeves and simple lines are her trademark.  This Shantung silk dress with oversize pleats gently flowing from princess seams articulate body curves that are sleek and elegant.  The fashion-savvy Pill Box hat provides the perfect balance between propriety and flirtation.

3.  Greta

This alluring modified mermaid gown of silk charmuse revives the distinctive 1940′s style of Greta Garbo.  Long lines form a dramatic silhouette to enhance every figure.  Large crystal buttons down the back update the look.  Accessorize with the black polka-dot English Net shawl, or add your own flare.

4.  Cordelia

The texture and weight of this all-lace gown exemplify the youthful charm evocative of the 1950′s.  The wide mid-riff and super-full skirt, showcase a girlish figure.  With hidden pockets and a splash of bling, Cordelia is the perfect party dress.  The custom Pill Box hat with blusher adds even more fun!

5.  Sabrina

Luxurious layers of gathered silk chiffon softly flow from a drop waist bodice.  The dramatic “V-neck” in back surprises and defines the classic era.  This simple romantic gown was inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s performance in the movie “Sabrina.”

6.  Greer

The bold lines of a surplice neckline, wide mid-riff and sassy box pleats, embody the confident, refreshing sophistication of Greer Garson.  Hand-rolled piping at the neck and sleeves, along with a unique organza overlay, add details, flounce and fun to the mix.
