Every year Utah Events by Design gets to look forward to working with the winners of the Dream Wedding Giveaway that is awarded at the July Bridal Extravaganza (if you haven’t heard of this amazing giveaway, then catch the details here). As the owner of UEBD, I always get excited about this dream wedding because not only is it held at the amazing, extravagant, and lush La Caille, but it’s also an opportunity to work with top-notch vendors who are so great at what they do!
In addition, I have had the opportunity to work with some of the sweetest couples a wedding planner could ever hope to work with and this year was no exception. Tyler and Annie are such a gorgeous couple both inside and out, and it was a thrill and honor to plan their beautiful bohemian wedding!
I fell in love with this couple’s relaxed sense of style from the beginning. In our first design meeting Annie and Tyler we anxious to express that even though this wedding was going to be at La Caille, they wanted something simple. Pretty? Yes. Memorable? Of course! But “simple” needed to be at the heart of the design.
Because Annie and Tyler didn’t want over the top decorations that distracted from the naturally beautiful ambiance of La Caille’s Grand Pavilion, we did keep things simple. We incorporated sweet lanterns with flickering candles for ambiance surrounded by a mixture of different sized bud vases provided by the Wedding Dreamer. And rather than big fluffy blooms atop each table, Annie opted for herbs and small, sweet blooms. I can’t begin to express how delicious the sprigs of lavender on each table smelled.
Furthermore, Annie and Tyler weren’t interested in loud, over-the-top colors either (loud and over-the-top don’t even begin to describe Tyler and Annie’s personalities, anyway). No, this couple wanted charming, natural elements that complimented the already gorgeous ambiance of the venue. Because of this, Annie and Tyler’s color pallet consisted of cool, calming colors in shades of navy blue, lavender, creams and a splash of robin’s egg blue. Diamond Rental was kind enough to donate the perfect linens for our design. And rather than a multitude of chair sashes, a variety of ribbons in different textures and widths were used to decorate the backs of Tyler and Annie’s chairs for dinner. So cute!
I could not get enough of how amazing this couple looked as far as fashion goes. Tyler sported a dapper suite provided by Dress Code and he looked so sharp and sophisticated!
I love that Annie’s dress was different and simple, like her wedding design. In fact, Annie’s dress inspired a darling invitation suite provided by Freshly Minted Invitations who created coordinating candy buffet labels and favor tags to incorporate into the design.
Annie and Tyler had such a delish dinner courtesy of La Caille who does a stellar job providing 5-star service. The food was delish and the presentation was just as pretty as could be!
Speaking of yummy, check out this gorgeous wedding cake provided by One Sweet Slice.
I love that the cake wasn’t covered in flowers, but rather, the couple opted for sprigs of eucalyptus leaves with a minimal floral topper. And check out the amazing crate used for a cake stand. And in case you were wondering, the cake was simply delicious.
Other fun elements were included for guests to enjoy as well. Awesome music and entertainment was provided by Public Opinions Sound Stage. A yummy candy buffet was provided by Smile Now Photobooths, and guest had the opportunity to get a little crazy and quirky in the fun photo booth provided by Shutter Booth.
To end this perfect night, Tyler and Annie enjoyed a magical sparkler exit as they made their way to their gorgeous exit car for the evening provided by none other than the amazing Something Vintage Something Blue.
A very special thanks to the talented Liz at Elizabeth Taylor Frandsen Photography for capturing all these lovely photos of Tyler and Annie’s big day. The pictures are just amazingly gorgeous!
