Wedding Day Tips & Advice for Photography~From the Experts
Photography by: Swensen Photography
We know how important pictures are and especially the Wedding Day Pictures. They are the MOST important because you simply can’t redo the day. We asked three of our incredible photographers, Justin at Swensen Photography, Ashley at Monarch Photography and Chauntelle at Opie Foto what advice they want to give brides on their wedding day and this is what they said:
Justin from Swensen Photography said “Time is of great importance! Work with us before hand to establish a good schedule to follow. Then remember that wedding days do not always go as planned, and your times may not work out exactly as you want. Don’t worry! We have done this before and we can make sure things go smoothly.”
Ashley from Monarch Photography said “Remember to always keep smiling and look up. You never know when the camera is going to snap a picture of you. And don’t stress! Have a good time. Your pictures are going to be that much better if you just let go and enjoy your day.”
Chauntelle from Opie Foto said “Give your photographer plenty of time for formal and bride and groom pictures. 1-2 hours dedicated to pictures. Most weddings run late so make sure you build in some buffer time between the ceremony and reception.”
Romantic Wedding Locations ~We also asked our photographers where they thought the most romantic location for weddings are. It was really hard to pick just one spot. They had some great insight for us to share. Here were some of their top spots:
La Caille~ La Caille is absolutely Gorgeous. The grounds are very well done and your guests will feel like they’ve escaped to France for a couple of hours.

Why is it important to go with a professional photographer?
Ashley said “When it’s all said and done, the cake gets eaten, the decorations get put away, and everyone goes home. What is left over from the most important day in your life? Pictures! They are what capture your memories and tells your story. For this day, you don’t get a ”do-over”. No one wants to look back and wince in pain when they look at their wedding pictures – Going with a professional photographer is the best way to assure that you will get spectacular pictures that will be treasured for years to come.”
Chauntelle said “If a friend or family member volunteers to shoot your wedding for free or at very little cost then politely decline. You want to hire a professional photographer that has years of experience and an amazing portfolio. The wedding pictures are all you get to keep after the wedding so it’s well worth the investment.”
Justin said “Your wedding only happens once. The only thing you have to remember it is your pictures. Saving money by choosing an inexperienced photographer could be a decision you will regret forever! We have heard so many horror stories from people wishing they would have spent the extra money, but it’s too late. You only get one chance. We have years of experience and we know how to get the most out of every moment of your day.”
