Why A Military Wedding Give Away?

When our friends at Celtic Waters came to us and asked us to be a part of their military wedding give away it was a no brainer for us. How can you not want to help promote something for a group of people who sacrifice so much for our freedoms and liberties.

Everyone is directly affected because of the service of these brave men and women. We thank Celtic Waters for the opportunity to be a small part of something so meaningful.

However, it is probably best for the people who came up with this give away to explain why it is important to them. Dave from Celtic Waters sent us an e-mail explaining why this is important to him and we would like to share it with you.

I have been asked to write an entry for the blog regarding the reason for the Military Appreciation Wedding. Simply, it gives us the opportunity to say thank you. It gives us the opportunity to repay in a small way to a service member for their sacrifice and service. As a former Marine, I have a tremendous appreciation for the sacrifice of our troops and their families. Although I never had to go into combat, I know that the stress on the service member and their family, increases exponentially when deployed to a war zone.

Obviously, many others know and are familiar with the sacrifice of our troops. Many of those vendors who are donating mentioned that they had parents, children or spouses that had served or are currently serving. In the end, the Military Appreciation Wedding is a group of citizens doing something to say thank you to one who has served, and placed his or herself in harms way to help provide the blanket of freedom we all enjoy.

At this time of year when everyone is celebrating the holiday season there are thousands of service men and women who are away from their loved ones. We are proud to be a small part of something that we feel is a worthwhile project to honor in a small way those who are serving our country.

Celtic Waters has put together this tribute video displaying the vendors who are participating in the give away. We want to personally thank each and every one of these vendors for their generous contribution.
