Jacqueline Kennedy Inspired Wedding Shoot~Name That Lady (Vintage Car) Contest

In this day and age it is totally okay to arrive “fashionably late.” But what isn’t okay is arriving UNFASHIONABLY late… Especially if you’re the bride!

So how does one avoid making this mistake? What can a bride do to ensure that she’ll arrive at her wedding in perfect grace and elegant style? At Utah Events by Design, we suggest arriving at your wedding in a fantastically amazing vintage car such as the ones available through Something Vintage Something Blue. If you haven’t familiarized yourself with this family of famous beauties so lovingly referred to as Princess Ivy, Buttercup, and Daisy, we suggest you do so STAT! You are guaranteed to fall in love with at least one (if not all) of them.

And speaking of these lovely cars, it is with great excitement and privilege that we announce the newest addition of the Something Vintage Something Blue car family. May we present to you the beautiful, the stunning, the………………..

Now introducing the latest and greatest in wedding transportation, the amazing……

*even longer awkward pause*

Okay here’s the deal, Something Vintage Something Blue does in fact have a STUNNING new car, the most latest and greatest in elegant transportation, and Utah Events by Design would LOVE to introduce you to this fine vehicle, but there’s just one itty bitty problem…. this amazing new car DOES NOT HAVE A NAME!

*gasp*

Yes, you read that correctly. This car is lacking a name and therefore, the Something Vintage Something Blue family just isn’t complete. All their other cars have names so it’s only right that this one have a name, too. But we NEED YOUR HELP!

To solve this dilemma, we’re launching a contest and inviting YOU to help us name this car! AND- if your suggestion is selected as the winning name, you’ll receive a FREE 1-hour photo shoot with the car (perfect for engagement sessions, bridals and more) AND a FREE 1-hour get-a-way car for your wedding!!!

Isn’t this car amazing? A little edgy maybe, with a streak of class and total awesomeness right?! To give you some history about this car, the Daimler DS420 was undoubtedly the most prominent car of the British Royal Family and is recognized in Great Britain as the Queen Mum’s Car. When Utah Events by Design discovered this, we thought it would be fun to design a royal-inspired photo shoot for this car’s official debut in Utah’s wedding industry. So where did we get our inspiration for a royal wedding shoot you ask? Our country’s own royal family, of course: The wedding of John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Lee Bouvier (Also known as Jackie Kennedy Onassis)!

We had a lot of fun creating this JFK wedding-inspired design and as anyone can see, this new car was such an important aspect of the achieving the overall look! But again, this amazing car doesn’t’ have a name and it’s high time we found one, thus the naming contest.

THE CONTEST “Name That Lady”

If you think you’ve got the perfect name for this new car, and you want to participate in the naming contest, simply follow these steps:

1- Become a Facebook fan of the vendors that participated in the royal-inspired photo shoot:

• Kristen Packard Make Up Artist

2- Locate this picture on any of the above participating vendors’ facebook pages:

3- Post a comment on the photo and leave your suggested car name in the comment. For example, your comment might say: “My suggested name for the car is (insert name).”

*You may enter the contest more than once by suggesting more than one car name. HOWEVER, only ONE car name suggestion may be made per comment. You must leave a new comment for each additional entry.

That’s it! Just follow those three steps and consider yourself entered to win! All car name suggestions must be posted by midnight, December 14th to be considered a qualified submission.

SELECTING THE WINNER

Each participating vendor will select ONE car name that has been posted on their facebook page and submit it to Something Vintage Something Blue for consideration. Since there are 6 participating vendors, there will be 6 finalists in the contest!

After the 6 finalists have been selected, Something Vintage Something Blue will post the top 6 suggested names on their facebook page and the voting will begin!

VOTING

Voting will take place on Something Vintage Something Blue’s facebook page AFTER all 6 finalists have been selected. To vote, simply “like” the photo that has your favorite suggested car name as the photo caption.

Don’t worry, we’ll post another blog announcing the final 6 suggested car names in a week and provide you with a helpful link to vote for your favorite(s). In the meantime, get creative and start thinking of the perfect name for this new car!!!
