Double Pakistani Wedding Celebration at The Canterbury Place~Featured Wedding
Photography by~Elizabeth Kate Photography
This gorgeous double Pakistani wedding celebration took place in April at the gorgeous Canterbury Place. The couples actual ceremonies were held in Pakistan. The couples united as brother are sister, both from Pakistan decided to have their wedding celebrations together. They celebrated with their picturesque traditions with 400 of their closet friends in Utah.
My favorite is the traditional henna staining of the brides hands & feet. This incredible art is a popular tradition in Pakistan & in other Middle Eastern Countries as well. The henna staining uses designs to create the perfect symbolic patterns. I love how exact & simply magnificent the art is.
Here are a few specific things that happened at this celebration:
- During the dancing over $3000 in one dollar bills were tossed into the crowd
- While eating, all of the men sat in one room (with the bridal party) and the women sat in the other. Because of this, the videographer set up a live feed so that the women could see what was happening the next room over.
- For decorations- the couples wanted a big look. They had The Canterbury Place tent both rooms and add hanging gems wherever they could.
